Wonderful Press Review for IBERIA

What a wonderful review in the OÖN after our performance of IBERIA in Wels (Austria):

"[...] Karin Schäfer has perfected this genre and expanded it with video sequences, creating a kaleidoscope of various forms of representation and techniques that merge into a fantastic work of art.

In addition, there is the close connection with music, which - played live - becomes part of the plot. Till Alexander Körber arranged Isaac Albeniz ’masterpiece for piano and violin for Wels, without minimizing the breakneck virtuosity. The Merlin Ensemble - Till Alexander Körber and his congenial partner Martin Walch on the violin - gave this music exactly the flair it needs to really evoke the theatrical action.

Each piece has its own playing technique, which ideally reinforces the character of the music but also the intention of the message. The versatility of the three actors - Karin Schäfer, Almut Schäfer-Kubelka and Adriana Zangl, was impressive.
